Thank you for being interested in citizen science and protecting underwater cultural heritage. Your submitted application to join GIRT is now lodged and will be held for processing until you have completed your training workshop.

 

Training workshops are available periodically and advertised on the <a href="/">home page</a> of this website and on the 
<a href="https://www.facebook.com/GIRTscientificdivers/">GIRT Facebook page</a>.Please feel free to attend any GIRT training workshop near you and advise the instructor of your proposed attendance by emailing (girtscientificdiver@gmail.com ).

 

Once your training is finished you will become a member and will be able to access the members' pages of this website via the Login tab. There you will be able to review training details, adopt-a-wreck, submit your survey reports, communicate with other members as well as update your profile.

Prior to coming to a training workshop, please download the following documents from the right hand sidebar of the JOIN page and bring them with you. These are the GIRT Guidance document and the five survey sheets titled: Surface data sheet; Mudmap; Underwater data sheet; Photo condition sheet; and Video photogrammetry sheet. Should any updates occur to survey sheets the downloadable documents here will have the latest format
